The glorious 'Pak Hanadarmukt' day (Kalaroa Freeb day) was celebrated on Wednesday in Kalaroa with due dignity through various programs.

At 10:30 a.m. in the discussion meeting organized by the Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Command, the speakers expressed their firm determination to build a non-communal Bangladesh in the spirit of the liberation war.

In the discussion meeting held under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Krishna Roy in the Upazila Parishad Auditorium, the speakers gave commemorative speeches on the Great Liberation War. Former Commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Golam Mostafa, Former Organizational Commander of Sangsad Syed Ali, Former Deputy Commander of Sangsad Abul Hossain, Upazila Workers Party President Abdur Rauf, Freedom Fighter Abdur Rauf, Freedom Fighter Jahangir Alam, General Secretary of Public Institute spoke and were present at the event. Adv. Sheikh Kamal Reza, General Secretary of Upazila Muktijoddha Issan Command Mofizul Islam Lovelu, Organizing Secretary Journalist Jahangir Alam Liton, Vir Muktijoddha and their families. The entire program was conducted by APP Ad. Ashraful Alam Babu A prayer ceremony was organized after the discussion meeting.

Earlier at the beginning of the day at 8 am floral wreath was offered to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman installed in the Freedom Fighter Sangsad Complex building.

A similar program is held by the Kalaroa Press Club. Press club leaders participated in the victory procession after placing wreaths on the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Later, in the discussion meeting of the day organized at the Kalaroa Press Club building, the Press Club President Professor MA Kalam presided over the discussion and General Secretary Abdur Rahman, Journalism Teacher Deepak Sheth, Head Teacher Rashedul Hasan Kamrul, Asaduzzaman Asad, Sardar Zillur Rahman, Sujaul Haque, Raju Raihan and others were present.
