Bangladesh Democratic Student Council of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit submitted a memorandum to Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan on Wednesday pressing for four key academic reforms to enhance the quality of education.
In the memorandum, the demands include introducing grade improvement exams across all departments, establishing a teacher evaluation system, enabling re-evaluation of answer scripts for all exams including tutorials and finals, and incorporating demo classes and student feedback in the teacher recruitment process.
“We believe these demands are essential not only for protecting students’ interests but also for improving the overall quality of the education system,” the memorandum stated.
The students also expressed confidence that the Vice-Chancellor should take proactive steps to swift implementation of their proposal.
