Member of Parliament elected from Patuakhali-4 (Kalapara-Rangabali) Constituency Md. Leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations organized a joyous procession and distributed sweets in Kalapara town of Patuakhali on Wednesday night on the news of becoming Mohibbur Rahman becoming as state minister.

Earlier, it is said that he received a call from the Cabinet to take oath as deputy minister.

Principal Mohib in the 12th National Assembly election, former Minister of State for Water Resources and President of Kalapara Upazila Awami League. Elected by getting 60 thousand 856 votes defeating Mahbubur Rahman.

Principal from Patuakhali-4 (Kalapara-Rangabali) constituency. Mohibbur Rahman was elected as the first member of parliament as a candidate of Awami League in the eleventh parliamentary elections. During his student life, he was the founding president of Dhaka University's Jasim Uddin Hall Branch Student League and later he was a member of the editorial board of Jubo League Central Committee. He served as a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Defense in the 11th Parliament. His house is in Dhulasar village of Dhulasar union of Kalapara upazila. His father's name is Maulvi Jalal Uddin Ahmed.

Apart from this, he retired after serving as the Principal of Alhaj Jalal Uddin Degree College established in the name of his father. On receiving the call to take oath of State Minister Mohibbur Rahman, who was elected as Member of Parliament for the second time, his supporters organized joyous processions and distributed sweets in his constituencies Kalapara, Rangabali, Mahipur and Kuakata.
