Journalist Zulfiqur Rahman passes away in Jamalpur

Journalisr ASM Zulfiqur Rahman passed away on Thursday midnight in a hospital in the Dhaka city ( Inna....Rajeon).
He was 68 years old at the time of his death. He left behind two wives, two sons and three daughters.
He was Sarishabari Upazila correspondent of the Daily Ittefaq and My TV Jamalpur district Correspondent. He was alsp a lyricist, dramatist and retired head teacher of Bangladesh Better.
On February 14, the first funeral prayer was held at Char Jamira village of Satpoa Union, the village home of the deceased. On that day, he was buried in the family cemetery after the second namaz-e- janaja at Mon Maidan of the Sarishabari powrosova.
He started his career as a teacher in Sarishabari RNC High School. Finally he was promoted to the post of head teacher of that school. He retired 2 years ago.
In 1998, he joined the profession of journalism in the first daily Ajker kagoj news paper. After the closure of today's paper, he joined The Daily Ittefak as Sarishabari Upazila Correspondent. Besides, he was also working as Sarishabari correspondent of The My TV channel for almost one era.
Lately he was the Vice President of Jamalpur District and Sarishabari Press Club.
He has written poems, stories, plays and novels since his student days. The death of this multi-talented multi-talented journalist cast a shadow of mourning in various circles including journalists and society.
