Journalist Amir Khasru passes away

Senior journalist Amir Khosru passed away on Saturday. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun). He breathed his last this evening while undergoing treatment at the Super Specialized Hospital of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). 

He was 65 years. 

His son Asif Naim told BSS that his father was under treatment for the past few days.

Journalist Amir Khosru worked for a long time in various leading media outlets of the country and  Voice of America.

His funeral prayer will be held tomorrow after Zuhr prayers at the Banani Intellectuals' Graveyard in the capital, and he will be buried there.

BFUJ President Obaidur Rahman Shahin and Secretary General and Managing Director and Chief Editor of BSS Mohammed Kader Gani Chowdhury, National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz and General Secretary Ayub Bhuyan, DUJ President Md. Shahidul Islam and General Secretary Khurshid Alam have expressed deep shock and grief at the death of Amir Khosru.
