Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Jagannath University (JnU) Unit, has raised seven demands to address the welfare of female students on campus. These include the appointment of a female assistant director for student welfare, improving sanitation facilities, and providing better accommodations for female students.

The demands were submitted to the Vice-Chancellor on Monday at 3:30 PM. Later, the JnU Shibir unit held a press briefing at the campus sculpture square to inform the media about their demands.

The demands include ppointment of a female teacher as the assistant director in the student welfare office, allocation of separate and suitable prayer spaces for female students in residential halls, intallation of quality water filters in the designated prayer area for female students at the central mosque, povision of sufficient and high-quality washrooms for female students in accessible areas across the campus, separate seating arrangements in the cafeteria for female students who prefer to dine in privacy, ebsuring improved sanitation facilities for female students in residential halls and apointment of doctors to provide 24/7 medical services at the medical center in female residential halls.

Responding to a question from journalists, the JnU Shibir unit president, Asadul Islam, stated, "Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir is always committed to the welfare of students and the campus community.

A significant portion of our students are female, and it is our responsibility to address their needs. From this sense of duty, we have submitted these seven demands to the university administration. We believe that implementing these demands will help solve many of the problems faced by our female students."
