Janata Bank brings agri loans to farmers’ doorsteps, launches public loan distribution programme in Ballamjhar

In a move to support farmers and boost agricultural production, Janata Bank PLC has launched a public agricultural loan distribution programme in Ballamjhar Union of Gaibandha, bringing institutional banking services closer to farmers.
The programme was formally inaugurated on Tuesday at the Ballamjhar Union Parishad office through the direct distribution of agricultural loans among local farmers.
Mohammad Alfar Hossain, Deputy General Manager of Janata Bank PLC, Gaibandha Area, inaugurated the programme.
Among those present were Mohammad Khaled Hossain Sarkar, Manager of Janata Bank's Tulsighat Branch; Mohammad Zulfikar Rahman, Chairman of Ballamjhar Union Parishad; and other bank officials, employees and elected representatives of the Union Parishad.
The initiative aims to ensure easier access to institutional credit for farmers and provide financial support for their agricultural activities.
Officials expressed hope that such programmes would help farmers obtain loans more conveniently, increase agricultural production and strengthen the rural economy.
