Jamaat’s protest march, rally held in Rangpur demanding 5 points

A huge protest march and rally was held in the divisional city of Rangpur on Friday after Jumma, as part of the central agenda of 5-point demands including a referendum to give the legal basis to the July Charter and free and fair national elections by next February through PR method in both houses of parliament.
This protest-gathering was held at the city's Public Library ground under the initiative of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Branch with 5-point demands including a referendum to give the legal basis to the July Charter, free and fair national elections by next February through PR method in both houses of parliament, ensuring a level playing field for all, visible trial of all the atrocities, genocide and corruption of the fascist government, and banning the activities of the Jatiya Party and the 14 parties, which are allies of tyranny. The huge protest march started from the city's public library ground and circled the city's city market, Payra Chattar, Jahaj Company Intersection, Press Club, Grand Hotel Intersection, and a rally was held at Shapla Chattar.
The speaker at the rally organized with 5-point demands said that before the referendum and elections in November, the oppression, torture, genocide and corruption of the previous fascist government must be brought to justice. The rally was chaired by Maulana ATM Azam Khan, a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamaat-nominated MP candidate from Rangpur-4 Kaunia-Pirgachha constituency and Ameer of Rangpur Metropolitan Branch. Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Secretary Anwarul Haque Kajal, Metropolitan Assistant Secretary and Jamaat-nominated MP candidate from Rangpur-1 Gangachara-Sadar partial constituency Raihan Siraji and Metropolitan Assistant Secretary Al Amin Hasan, among others, spoke at the event.
