International Forest Day celebrated in Kalapara

International Forest Day was celebrated in Patuakhali Kalapara. The human chain was held to demand the protection of the coastal mangrove forest with the theme "I will save the forest, I will be healthy forever".
On Thursday at 11:00 a.m., Waterkeepers Bangladesh, Blue Planet Initiative, Waterkeepers Bangladesh, Blue Planet Initiative, organized by the residents of Kalapara, organized a human chain in Gangamati area of Kuakata of Mahipur police station, Waterkeepers Bangladesh regional coordinator Mejbah Uddin Mannu, Waterkeepers Bangladesh Kalapara representative spokeKamal Hasan Roni, Nazrul Islam, President of Amara Kalaparabasi Organization and Md. Obaidul Islam, President of Dholai Market Fishery Association.
The speakers said, we need to protect this forest for our survival. If we are conscious then we cannot destroy this forest. Where the forest is destroyed we will inform the authorities with the information.
