Inter-Cadre Discrimination Elimination Parishad announce work abstention protesting suspension of 13 officers

The Inter-Cadre Discrimination Elimination Parishad, an umbrella organisation for the 25 BCS cadres, will observe work abstention on Sunday in protest against the suspension of 13 cadres.
“Besides, officials will wear black badges and stand in front of their respective offices with banners from 10:30am to 11:30am," its Coordinator Muhammad Mofizur Rahman said at a view exchange meeting with journalists at the Agricultural Information Service conference hall in Dhaka's Khamarbari on Saturday.
He said that the officials were suspended for trivial reasons, such as posting on Facebook.
Presided over by agriculture expert Md. Arif Hossain, the programme was attended by coordinators and co-coordinators of the Inter-Cadre Discrimination Elimination Parishad.
