Int' l Disaster Mitigation Day celebrated in Madan

International Disaster Mitigation Day was celebrated at Madan in Netrakona with the slogan "Disaster Early Warning is an Effective Action for All".
On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally was organized by the upazila administration on the initiative of the ministry of disaster management and relief at the upazila parishad square on Thursday.And discussion meeting was held.
After the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the upazila hall room under the chairmanship of the upazila executive officer Tanzina Shahrin.
Upazila Awami League President Vir Muktijodh Md.Abdul Qaddus, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Mufti Anwar Hossain, Project Implementation Officer Md. Shawkat Jamil, Agriculture Officer Md. Habibur Rahman, Youth Development Officer Abdul Ahad and others spoke about the importance and significance of the day.
Political leaders, public representatives and mass media workers were present on the occasion.
Finally, a fire drill was conducted under the leadership of Madan Fire Service Station Officer Sujit Kumar Ghosh at the Upazila Parishad square.
