Incidence of children's diarrhea is increasing in monsoon, awareness is needed

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed

The name of the second season of Bengali calendar is monsoon. This season spans throughout the months of Asadha and Shravan. Monsoon means days of pure rain. Be it confined to the house or going to the office, small children or the elderly, many people tend to get sick at this time. It is for environmental reasons as well as environmental reasons. Therefore, every year before and after the onset of monsoon, diarrhea spreads across the country. The number of patients suffering from diarrhea has increased in different areas of the country earlier this year. Children are most at risk. The most effective treatment for diarrhea is feeding saline water. Saline is salt rich in various minerals. Saline water does not stop diarrhoea, it compensates for the lack of water and salt in the body caused by diarrhoea. But lack of proper preparation of saline water is increasing the risk of children suffering from diarrhea and even death with long-term effects. Village or city dwellers—everyone at risk.
Every year due to floods, waterlogging occurs in different parts of Bangladesh. Rivers, canals, canals sink. Safe water sources, including tube wells, also sink. As a result, there is a shortage of fresh water. This problem also arises in urban areas during monsoons. Rain water mixes with dirty water in drains. Dirty water comes up on roads and localities. Raw markets in particular are exposed to contaminated water. Fish, meat, vegetables or fruits become more unsafe when exposed to contaminated water. Bringing these foods home and eating them unpurified causes stomach problems.

Mainly hepatitis A, rota virus, cholera, salmonella—these germs are responsible for diarrhea in children. And the rainy season is the most dangerous time to spread these viruses and bacteria.

> Viral diarrhoea

* Hepatitis A: This virus spreads through contaminated water and food. It infects the liver. Children are mainly affected by it. It causes various complications including fever, nausea, vomiting, physical weakness and abdominal pain.

* Rota virus: The virus usually attacks newborn babies. First the child's digestive system is affected and later it develops into diarrhoea.

* Adenovirus: It is more common in children. The main symptoms of fever-cold-cough. But it can also cause stomach problems like diarrhea in an infected child.

> Bacterial diarrhea
* Salmonella: It spreads through food and water. It is usually found in salads, uncooked foods and dairy products. Children who put their fingers in their mouths are more at risk.

* E-coli: It lives naturally in the intestines. It can infect the stomach due to water or food contamination.

> Symptoms of diarrhea in children
Usually children already have frequent bowel movements. So there is no reason to think that frequent bowel movements are diarrhea. However, if a child suffers from diarrhea, the following symptoms appear along with frequent bowel movements.
_ Watery stools.
_ Stools are more foul-smelling than normal.
_ Biting stomach with great pain in abdomen.
Blood may come with the stool.
_ May cause vomiting.
Digestion decreases.
_ Reluctance to eat.
_Velocity of urine may decrease.
_ Fever can come with chills.
_The weight of the child continues to decrease.
_ Baby becomes irritable and cries excessively.

> What to do if a child suffers from diarrhea
At this time it is important to be very aware about the care of the child.
* In case of diarrhea, care should be taken that the child does not suffer from dehydration.

* If the baby is less than six months old, breast milk should be fed frequently.
* If the child is used to normal food then canned water, saline, rice starch etc. can be fed as per doctor's advice.
* Ripe bananas can also be beneficial.
You can make khichuri with rice, chicken and kanchala.
* Do not eat foods that cause stomach gas problems or allergies like cow's milk, biscuits, fried foods etc.
* Probiotics (curd, cheese, banana etc.) can be fed.

Homeopathy: The patient is treated, not the diseaseAccording to Hahnemann's homeopathic rules, treatment of any complex and difficult disease including diarrhoea of children in rainy season can be easily treated by God's grace if the treatment is based on individual characteristics, VVic symptom group and metal. There is no eternal truth in medical scienceBecause once we heard that there is no cure for tuberculosis, now we hear that tuberculosis is better. All this is the result of progress and development of science. Various diseases are the most popular treatment method in homeopathy. Homeopathic treatment is done by selecting medicines based on overall symptoms. It is the only medical procedure that removes all the signs and symptoms of the patient's suffering and restores him to full health. So consult an experienced doctor to get proper treatment.

> Finally, tell your child to wash their hands and face well with soap outside during the rainy season. Do not even touch food with outside hand. Make sure he washes his hands thoroughly before eating. Also bathe the child with antiseptic soap during this season. It will keep germs away. And the child will be healthy. Everyone should be careful about this.
