Inauguration of Tripura tongue education program at secondary level in Rangamati

Tripura education program in the mother tongue of the Tripura people at the secondary level has been inaugurated in Rangamati. Dipankar Talukder, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and Standing Committee Member of Parliament inaugurated the mother tongue education program.

On Thursday morning, the mother tongue education program was inaugurated at the Killamura Lower Secondary School premises under the initiative and funding of the Rangamati Hill District Council.

While inaugurating the education programme, MP Dipankar Talukder said, if we cannot sustain the language and culture of the small ethnic groups, then the small ethnic groups will face a crisis of existence. So there is no alternative to practice to sustain language and culture. Tripura population is less in terms of population.

They live in remote areas. They lost their mother tongue when they came to the city to study. Realizing this fact, the Tripura people living in Rangamati city should not lose their language, this program has been taken by the initiative of the district council.

He said, with the sincerity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Rangamati Zilla Parishad has taken the initiative of language of the small ethnic groups education and requested all concerned to manage it properly.

Rangamati Hills District Council Chairman Angsui Pru Chowdhury, Member Vipul Tripura, Member Angsu Chain Chowdhury, School Management Council President Dilip Kumar Tripura, Head Teacher Seema Barua along with Karbari, UP members and students were present.
