In'tl Mother Language Day celebrated in Netrakona

A stream of people was seen at the central Shahid Minar of Netrakona in the first hour of the twenty-first hour to pay their respects in International Mother Language Day.
People of all classes and professions remembered language martyrs in Netrakona district town with humble respect of Amar Ekushey.
Language martyrs were remembered by offering flowers at the city's central Shaheed Minar adjacent to Meshuha Bazar in the early hours of Wednesday
Member of Parliament of Netrakona-2 (Sadar-Barhatta) Constituency veteran freedom fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khosru, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shahed Parvez, Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Faiz Ahmed Bhasha laid wreath at the Shaheed Altar in honor of the martyrs.
Also, under the leadership of heroic freedom fighter Habibur Rahman, the Netrakona District Press Club and various social, political, religious and cultural organizations paid tribute to language martyrs by placing wreaths at the martyr's altar. There are various programs organized by the district administration throughout the day.
National flags will be half-mast and black flags will be hoisted in all public and private institutions. Discussion meetings will be held in various educational institutions, black badges will be held, rallies will be taken out, painting competitions and cultural programs will be held.
