Bangladesh is a shining example of religious freedom and communal harmony; Where people of all religions have been living peacefully for ages. Appreciated as a country of communal harmony, Bangladesh has been enjoying a wonderful environment irrespective of religion-caste-tribe-community for many years.

A bond of brotherhood has developed among all. Irrespective of religion, everyone jumped into the freedom war of '71 for the freedom of the country, shedding fresh blood. The Muslims of this country have sheltered the Hindus in danger and saved their lives. Eid and Puja are celebrated side by side in this country.

These two festivals have now become universal festivals. All those who came from abroad appreciated our communal harmony. Such a precedent is rare in the world. Although unpopular, miscreants have attacked and vandalized the houses of minorities in different parts of the country. There have also been cases of death. Hindu community places of worship were attacked.

Attacks on minorities are not new in this country. Extremists are attacking them, burning houses on the slightest pretext. There is a fuss about this. Once again it disappears. Attacked again. Because of the repeated attacks, the people involved are not brought to justiceDr. MM Mazed, the eminent researcher of Bangladesh and the founder of jatio rogi kallan Society, wrote a column on today's issue. In his column, Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony.

Since ancient times, the followers of various ethnic groups and religions in the territory of Bengal have maintained the tradition of communal or inter-religious harmony by living together in harmony with each other. So he wrote, the song of Gahi Samya / where all barriers have become one, / where Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Christians are mixed.

He wrote 'There is nothing greater than man, nor is there anything great / No distinction of country-time-caste, undifferentiated religion caste, / In all countries, at all times, from home to home He is the acquaintance of people. How non-sectarian Nazrul was from the essay 'Hindu-Muslim' is more obvious.

He writes: “When walking by the river, I see a man drowning, the eternal man of the mind does not pause to ask whether the man is a Hindu or a Muslim. A man is drowning, this becomes the greatest to him, he jumps into the river.

If a Hindu rescues and sees that the person is a Muslim, or if a Muslim sees that the person is a Hindu, then his self-gratification is not diminished that much. His mind says, 'I have saved a man, a man like me.' Actually it is not important who is a follower of which religion, the point is that we are all human. As humans we are all one race. Another person may not agree with my religion, with my opinion, so is it in Islam to keep my personal relationship with him bad?

The importance of communal harmony in establishing peace in human society is immense. Communal harmony develops patience, tolerance, compassion and respect among people.

With the sincere efforts of all, the country and nation climb to the peak of development. And in a country or society, people of many races, religions, castes, tribes and languages live. Communal harmony is the attitude of unity, solidarity and cooperation among the people living in these communitiesFinally, I would like to say,

"Islam is so vocal in protecting communal harmony, the Prophet (PBUH) urged Muslims to protect their own lives as well as the lives and property of the minority non-Muslim community.

Not only that, violence against other religions and their places of worship has also been declared forever haram and impermissible in Islam.

Therefore, it is essential to maintain communal harmony for the peace of this time and the liberation of the hereafter. Followers of all religions living in the country or society should improve mutual behavior and extend helping hands and establish peace and stability instead of enmity.
