Illegal 50 lakh taka pole removed in Lalmohan

Illegal pole nets worth at least 50 lakh taka, which were destroying fisheries resources, have been removed from the char area of Char No. 12 of the Meghna River through a special combing operation of the Upazila Fisheries Department from Tuesday morning to noon. Later, the removed nets were destroyed in a proper manner.
Lalmohan Upazila Fisheries Officer Ali Ahmed Akhand and Marine Fisheries Officer Md. Saidur Rahman were present in the operation, along with Upazila Fisheries Office Field Assistant Md. Nesar Uddin, Information Collector Md. Zakir Hossain Sharif and police members.
