Supradip Chakma, Adviser on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, said, I am not roaming the hills to give instructions; I want to work by taking instructions from the people.
He said that there is no alternative to entrepreneurs for the economic development of the country. We need to create a mindset of becoming entrepreneurs. Especially, he urged the residents of the hill areas to build themselves as entrepreneurs in various fields instead of chasing jobs. He made these remarks as the chief guest at an exchange meeting with entrepreneurs organized by the Bandarban Hill District Council on Sunday morning.
The exchange meeting was chaired by Prof Thanzama Lusai, Chairman of the Bandarban Hill District Council, and attended by Bandarban District Administrator Shamima Ara Rini, Police Superintendent Shahidullah Kawsar, Joint Secretary of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry Kankan Chakma, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Executive Officer Abul Mansur, along with District Council members Adv Abul Kalam, Saiful Islam, Ubathwai Marma, senior administration officials, district entrepreneurs, and journalists.
Earlier, the chief guest visited stalls of handmade products made by various entrepreneurs at the District Council premises.
