Humayun Rashid, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Energypack Power Generation, has again been nominated as the chairman of the standing committee on power, energy and utilities of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the apex body of businessmen.

He recently got the leadership of the committee. This was informed in a press release on Monday.

According to the notification, FBCCI has played an important role in the development of the private sector in the country in the past years. This organization is playing a significant role in the continuous economic growth of the country. Humayun Rashid as Chairman of FBCCI's Standing Committee on Power, Energy and Utilities will work to keep the development of power and energy sector dynamic in the country.

Humayun Rashid has over 40 years of experience in trading, manufacturing and distribution of energy and power related products and services. He earlier headed FBCCI's Standing Committee on Power, Energy and Utilities for the period 2021-2023. By being nominated as chairman this time, he will lead this committee for the second time in a row for the period of 2023-2025.

Humayun Rashid said, "I am happy to get this important responsibility. I will take necessary steps based on my expertise and experience in identifying and addressing the existing challenges in the power and energy sector. Along with other members of the committee, we will continue our efforts as always to find sustainable solutions to ensure the growth of this sector.
