Human chain formed in Sapahar against misinformation on 'Roasting Center' Facebook page

A huge human chain program has been organized in Sapahar, Naogaon, to protest against the secret video recording, obscenity and ugly propaganda of school students through a controversial Facebook page called 'Roasting Centre Sapahar' and to demand the immediate arrest of those involved.
This program was held at 11 am on Sunday at Zero Point in Sapahar Upazila Sadar under the banner of 'Aware People from All Levels of Sapahar'.
The one-hour human chain was attended by more than 200 people from various walks of life, including teachers, guardians, and students. The participants chanted slogans demanding exemplary punishment for the Facebook page admin and the related gang, who were brought to justice.
Sapahar Sports Academy Chairman Abu Said Chowdhury Anik, Jobi Bill Biodiversity and Social Welfare Organization General Secretary Karim Khan, Upazila Jubo Dal Joint General Secretary and victim's family member Rubel Hossain, Upazila Chhatra Shibir President Mamunur Rashid, Sapahar Government College Chhatra Dal President Waliul Islam Naim, General Secretary Ripon Hasan, Joint General Secretary Meherab Hossain, prominent businessman Sajedul Saju, content creator Sumon, student leader Naim, victim's family members and local dignitaries spoke at the human chain. The speakers said, "A dishonest group is secretly recording videos of our tender school students using a page called 'Roasting Centre Sapahar' and spreading them on the internet in a distorted manner. This is damaging the social status of the students and they are mentally breaking down. Such obscenity and cybercrime cannot be accepted in any way."
The speakers further expressed their anger and said, "This gang has been playing tricks on the lives of ordinary students from behind the scenes for a long time. We strongly demand from the administration that the main leaders of this gang be identified as soon as possible and arrested under the Digital Security Act. Otherwise, stricter programs will be announced along with the locals."
It is mentioned that for the past few days, there has been a storm of protest on social media regarding the objectionable activities of the said Facebook page. There is extreme tension among the general public regarding the issue. Conscious circles fear that the law and order situation in the upazila may deteriorate if immediate action is not taken.
After the human chain, a memorandum was submitted to the Upazila Executive Officer and the Officer-in-Charge of Sapahar Police Station.
