Human chain demanding steps against drug dealers, drug users, smugglers in Kalamakanda

A human chain has been organized in Kolmakanda, an upazila bordering Netrokona, demanding the elimination of drug dealers, drug users, and smugglers, their arrest and trial on Friday noon.
Rangchati Union Volunteers organized this human chain program along the border road for about 3 kilometers in the Zero Point area of the border of Rangchati Union bordering Kolmakanda Upazila. Speaking at the human chain, BNP Central Committee Legal Secretary and Nationalist Lawyers Forum Secretary General Barrister Kaiser Kamal said, a neighboring country is smuggling various types of drugs across the border in a clever way. The country's youth is gradually sinking into the abyss of darkness due to the terrible scourge of drugs. Family and social harmony is being destroyed due to drugs.
BNP has adopted a zero tolerance policy against drugs. If BNP can form the government in the future as per the verdict of the people, then Kalmakanda and Durgapur upazilas will be made drug-free upazilas. Among others, the speakers at the human chain included former joint convener of the district BNP, Bazlur Rahman Pathan, Kalmakanda Upazila BNP president MA Khair, general secretary and chairman of Lengura Union Parishad Md. Saidur Rahman Bhuiyan, former general secretary and chairman of Rangchati Union Parishad Md. Anisur Rahman Pathan Babul, organizing secretary Nazim Uddin, vice president Koli Akhter, chairman of Kharnai Union Parishad Obaidul Haque, Rangchati Union BNP president Rokon Pathan, general secretary Md. Tajamul Hossain, convener of Rangchati Union Volunteer Party Md. Nazmul Hossain, member secretary Md. Al Mamun and BNP leader Manik Mia. Teachers and students from various schools and colleges, including Union BNP, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, Sramik Dal, and Mahila Dal, spontaneously participated in the human chain.
Speakers called for stopping drug smuggling across the border, preventing the spread of drugs, identifying and immediately arresting drug dealers involved in drug trafficking, and socially boycotting drug users and bringing them under the law.
