Human chain, procession in Gobindaganj demanding speedy implementation of proposed Rangpur EPZ

"Wake up, people, build unity" Implement the Rangpur EPZ quickly! It must be done! A human chain and protest procession was held in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha demanding the speedy implementation of the proposed Rangpur EPZ.
The hour-long human chain was held on the highway in front of Gobindaganj Government High School on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway at 3 pm on Thursday.
In Gobindaganj, the EPZ demand was met by the Nagorik Oikya Parishad, organized by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Gaibandha Co-Coordinator Mostakim Sarkar Sajib, chaired by the Anti-Discrimination Movement student leader Ayan Sultan. Among others, Gobindaganj Nagorik Committee Convener MA Matin Mollah, JSD Upazila Branch President Ayub Hossain Sarkar, Gobindaganj Municipal Chhatra Dal Convener Khairul Islam, Gobindaganj Municipal Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Organization Secretary Omar Faruk Sarkar, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Leader Sadhan Mohant, R.S. Rashed, Mamun Khan, Shakib Sarkar, Aman Khan and other anti-discrimination student movement leaders spoke. People from different walks of life participated in the human chain.
The speakers said that during the previous government, the EPZ was announced as 'Rangpur EPZ', and several meetings were held in BEPZA, land documents were executed, project directors were appointed, signboards were sent, and the EPZ did not see the light of day due to the evil influence of some people, but the necessary steps were not taken even after a long time. Which is tantamount to fraud.
The speakers further expressed their anger and said that the dream of employment of about 2 lakh people in this EPZ among the people of Gobindaganj Upazila and the northern region should be implemented immediately. Otherwise, strict action plans will be announced regardless of party, opinion, etc. They quickly highlighted the needs and benefits of implementing the Rangpur EPZ and attracted the attention of the Chief Advisor and Industrial Advisor.
After this human chain, a huge procession circled the city.
