Insomnia is a common problem nowadays. Most of the elderly people in the city have to take sleeping pills almost every day. Disturbance of sleep due to any reason is called insomnia i.e. difficulty in initiating or maintaining sleep which is satisfactory.

Causes of Insomnia:

Insomnia can be caused by various reasons. Such as body weakness or pain. Shortness of breath or shortness of breath. If you have kidney or thyroid problems, diabetes, prostate gland problems (seen in elderly) and heart problems. Insomnia can also come from different types of addictions like drugs, medicine, tea, coffee and above all family problems. And normal adults need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day. Sleeping less than 6 hours a day can cause health problems. However, according to age, the body's need for sleep is different.

Generally adults need 7-8 hours of sleep, children 9-13 hours, newborns need 12-17 hours of sleep. By sleeping, the immune system of the body increases, the toxins are removed from the body and the performance increases. So much of the next day's energy and efficiency depends on a person's adequate sleep.

Insomnia is the inability to sleep at night or repeated breaks. As a result, things like sleeping during the day, jittery feeling all day, not being able to concentrate on work, mood being irritable and depressed all day can happen. Everyone from children to the elderly can suffer from insomnia. However, with increasing age, there is a decrease in the rate of sleep or the symptoms of sleep thinning. But many of the current generation suffer from insomnia due to social media addiction. The problem is now so pronounced that some people are turning insomnia into a daily habit.

And a large part of the world wakes in darkness. They don't think that the sleep they are wasting needs to be fulfilled. They think, 'What's gone is gone.'
