Breaking all previous administrative records, women are currently serving as Deputy Commissioners in twenty-one out of the sixty-four districts across Bangladesh, marking the highest number of female district chiefs in the country's history.

Previously, the highest number of female Deputy Commissioners serving concurrently stood at eighteen during the interim government period. While this previous benchmark has now been surpassed, none of the country's nine divisional commissioners are currently women.

The twenty-one female Deputy Commissioners currently in office include Farida Khanam in Dhaka, Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi in Munshiganj, Israt Jahan Keya in Narsingdi, Nazmun Ara Sultana in Manikganj, Sohana Nasrin in Kishoreganj, Sharifa Haque in Tangail, Afroza Parvin in Rajbari, Tahsina Begum in Shariatpur, Morjina Akter in Madaripur, and Rozi Akter in Comilla.

Further representation across the country features Nazma Ashrafi in Rangamati, Monira Haque in Feni, Asma Shahin in Natore, Hure Jannat in Khulna, Kawsar Aziz in Satkhira, Lutfun Nahar in Chuadanga, Shilpi Rani Roy in Meherpur, Taslima Akter in Barguna, Annapurna Debnath in Kurigram, Mosammat Shukriya Parvin in Panchagarh, and Farida Yasmin in Sherpur.

Geographically, the Dhaka division holds the highest concentration of female leadership at the district level, with female Deputy Commissioners heading nine out of its thirteen districts.

The remaining representation across divisions includes four in the Khulna division, three in the Chattogram division, two in the Rangpur Division, and one each in the Rajshahi and Barishal divisions.
