The Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council strongly condemned the recent attack on the Bangladesh Embassy in Agartala of Tripura, and the disrespect shown to the national flag.
The organization described the incident as "unfortunate, regrettable, and condemnable."
In a statement signed by the Acting General Secretary of the Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council, Monindra Kumar Nath, the group expressed its dismay over the attack, emphasizing that respect for national flags is a sacred duty for the citizens of any country.
According to the statement, disrespecting a national flag undermines the sovereignty and independence of a nation.
The Unity Council reiterated that all citizens should refrain from such actions, as it is essential for both national and international interests to avoid any behavior that could harm the integrity of a country’s flag.
