HC seeks list of Rohingya voters across Bangladesh

The High Court on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to submit a list of Rohingyas who have been registered as voters across Bangladesh so far.
The Election Commission, Cox's Bazar deputy commissioner and other concerned officials have been asked to submit the list by August 8.
An HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Kazi Zinat Haque passed the order after hearing a writ petition filed in this regard.
Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mia was present for the writ petitioner, while deputy attorney general Amit Das Gupta represented the state.
Earlier on Monday (June 10), local voter Md Hamidur Rahman filed the writ through lawyer Mohammad Siddique Ullah Miah.
