Half-hanging naked body of recovered from residential hotel in Laksam

Police recovered the body of an insurance worker Altaf Hossain Ripon (47) from a residential hotel in Laksam, Cumilla . He is the son of Nuruzzaman of Shakchar village in Lakshmipur Sadar.
He works in Pragati Life Insurance. Doubts are spreading whether the matter is murder or suicide.
On Monday afternoon, Laksam police station recovered a half-clothed body from a room of Bypass Dream Hotel in the city
Jahangir Alam, director of the hotel, said that Altaf Hossain booked room number 8 of the hotel on the 25th night. After a day he was supposed to pay the room rent but he did not pay. Today morning the hotel roomboy Tuhin called to collect the rent from him and informed the hotel manager after getting no response.
Later everyone came to see Rosi lying naked on the bed with a twisted noose around her neck.
Arju, a close relative of the deceased, said that he has been missing since January 24. We filed a missing diary at Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station on 25th January. A half-hanging body was found at the Laxam Dream Hotel on Monday, three days after he went missing.
Deceased Altaf is the father of three daughters.
OC of Laksam police station Nazneen Sultana said that the body was recovered from the spot and sent to the morgue.
