The inaugural flight for Hajj of this season is set to take off on 9 May from Dhaka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

As per the schedule, the other flights will be operated. But, the schedule for all flights has not been finalised yet.

Minister for Religious Affairs Md. Faridul Haq Khan revealed this information at a progamme in Mymensignh on Saturday morning.

He said the price of the Hajj package has been reduced to Tk 1 lakh 2 thousand compared to last year. And everything is going well.

The first Hajj flight will begin on 9 May and the premier will inaugurate on 8 May.

Sources said a total of 83,202 Bangladeshi pilgrims will perform Hajj under government and non-government arrangements next year. Among them, 4,307 will go under the government arrangement, and 78,895 will go under private arrangements.

Depending on the sighting of the moon, the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be on 16 June. The process for visa issuance and flight schedule preparation usually begins a month before Eid every year for the Hajj flights. However, this time, the visa process has not yet begun. The announcement of the flight schedule is also pending due to the finalisation of the list of pilgrims.
