
Habiganj -4 : Mahbub Ali, Barrister Sumon's neck to neck fight

After the withdrawal of nomination papers in Habiganj-4 Constituency, there are eight independent candidates and different political parties.
Earlier independent candidate Md Jamal Hossain's candidature was canceled and Syed Abul Khair of Zaker Party withdrew his candidature.
Consisting of Madhavpur and Chunarughat upazilas (parliamentary seat-242), the number of voters in this constituency is about five lakh. This seat, dominated by tea gardens, is considered as a sure seat for Awami League. Because Awami League candidates have won eight times in the last eleven parliamentary elections after independence. In the 12th parliamentary election, the present MP Awami League nominated party candidate State Minister for Aviation and Paraton Md. Mahbub Ali (Boat), independent candidate Central Jubo League former legal affairs secretary Barrister Syed Syedul Haque Samoon (Eagle), Jatiya Party party candidate Ahad Uddin Chowdhury (Plow). .
Md Al Amin of Bangladesh Congress (dub), Abu Saleh of Islami Oikyazot Bangladesh (minar), Md Mukhlechur Rahman of BNM (anchor), Md Abdul Mumin of Islamic Front Bangladesh (chair) and Md Rashedul Islam Khokon of Bangladesh Cultural Aikzot (stick). competing with symbols. Currently there are eight candidates on paper but most of the candidates are not in the voting field. They have no contact with voters. Ordinary voters do not know most of the candidates. Awami League candidate State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Advocate Md. Mahbub Ali and independent candidate online celebrity Jubo League leader Barrister Syed Saidul Haque Sumon are active in the election field. Barrister Suman is contesting with the eagle symbol. Since the election campaign started, these two candidates and their workers have been going from village to village trying to woo the common voters. Observing the overall situation, it is understood that there will be a bone-to-bone fight between these two people.
There is no visible activity of the six candidates. It is known that by visiting the upazila's tea gardens and several bazaars and talking to people, a part of the pro-BNP voters will vote for Barrister Syed Saidul Haque Sumon.
Besides, a section of Awami League opposition to the minister is supporting Barrister Sumon. On the other hand, tea plantations known as Awami League's vote bank and most of the pro-Awami League voters will vote by boat. Besides, due to clean image and personal and family relations, a section of pro-BNP voters are secretly working for Advocate Md. Mahbub Ali. Victory or defeat will mainly depend on the presence of pro-BNP voters at the center. Panchayat president of Teliapara tea garden Khokon Tanti said Bangabandhu gave us the right to vote.
Bangabandhu's daughter is by our side in happiness and sorrow so we have no chance to go out of the boat. Tea workers have always been with boats, will always be with boats.
Maksud Ali, a trader in Teliapara market, said that Barrister Sumon will compete with the boat candidate. No one knows the remaining six. Jamil Ahmed, a cloth merchant, said, "I don't know anyone other than the candidate with the boat and eagle symbol. There will be intense competition between these two people."
