Ending all speculations in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections, the former repeatedly elected MP , Khulna City Corporation Mayor and Khulna Metropolitan Awami League President Talukdar Abdul Khalek have been nominated by Awami League for 97 Bagerhat-3 (Rampal-Mongla) constituencies for the fourth consecutive time. On Sunday at 4.00 pm, party General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the name of Begum Habibun Nahar in the list of party nomination board of Bangladesh Awami League for 97 Bagerhat-3 parliamentary seat.

Begum Habibun Nahar is a Bangladeshi woman politician and repeatedly elected member of the National Parliament. He was born on September 18, 1954 in the famous Bagerhat district. During her education, she studied at Dhaka University and then got married to Talukdar Abdul Khalek.

In 2008, he first participated in the election as a candidate of Awami League from Bagerhat-3 seat and won by a large number of votes. The last time he won in the 2018 National Assembly elections from this seat again with the boat symbol and won the election with huge votes. After that, he got the responsibility of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and he successfully fulfilled that responsibility.

It should be noted that in the 12th National Parliament election, a total of 10 candidates from Bagerhat-3 constituency collected the nomination papers of Awami League. On the basis of the information received by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through various channels, Habibun Nahar was once again given a boat ticket from this constituency. Leaders and workers of Awami League and affiliated organizations of Rampal Upazila expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister for nominating her.
