Gold price rises again, nears tk 1.5 lakh per bhori

The price of high-quality (22-carat) gold has increased by Tk 1,994 per bhori, reaching Tk 1,49,812 in the local market today.
The price is now close to Tk 1.5 lakh per bhori.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the new price through a press released on on Monday (February 10).
The new price will come into effect from Tuesday.
BAJUS said that the price adjustment was necessary due to an increase in the cost of pure gold in the local market.
As per the new rates, the price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,43,001 per bhori, while 18-carat gold is now priced at Tk 1,22,577 per bhori. The price of traditional gold has been set at Tk 1,00,917 per bhori.
However, silver prices remain unchanged.
Currently, 22-carat silver costs Tk 2,578 per bhori, 21-carat silver is priced at Tk 2,449 per bhori, and 18-carat silver stands at Tk 2,111 per bhori. The price of traditional silver remains at Tk 1,586 per bhori.
