Frontline War and Resistance Day-2024 was celebrated on 21st April at Goalando in Rajbari. On this occasion like every year this time on 21st April in Baliadanga village in memory of the martyrs families organized a prayer and tribute ceremony by placing flowers on the names of the martyrs. They demanded that the 22 killed be given the status of martyrs.

Besides, on Sunday at Bahadurpur village of the upazila, on April 21 at 10 a.m., Goalando Front War and Resistance Day, Smriti Vaskarya Parishad organized hoisting of the national flag, resistance war commemoration and prayer ceremony in the area.

Under the chairmanship of engineer Jewel Bahadur, one of the organizers of the resistance war, former chairman of Rajbari Zilla Parishad, brave freedom fighter Fakir Abdul Jabbar, wartime commander of Rajbari Bakaul Abul Hashem, other wartime commander Siraj Ahmed, Goalando freedom fighter spoke as chief guestsFormer Commander of Parliament Abdus Samad Molla, etc.

The speakers emphasized on celebrating this glorious day of Goalando's resistance war on a larger scale, both public and private, to present it to the new generation. He also sought the cooperation of all at the public and private levels to quickly finish the unfinished work of the memorial sculpture under construction here.

It should be noted that during the liberation war, on April 21, 1971, when the Pakistani forces attacked Goland along the river, the EPR, Ansar and freedom fighters resisted them with the help of the local people. At this time, Ansar commander Fakir Mohiuddin was martyred in the battle.
