Five killed as launch rope severs at Sadarghat

At least five people have been killed after a rope of a launch severed while bringing another launch to the bank at Sadarghat Launch Terminal in the capital.
The incident happened around 3:00 pm on Thursday.
Joynul Abedin, director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) confirmed the matter.
The identity of deceased could not be known immediately, however, two of them were a woman and a child.
