Finance Minister unveiling national budget

Finance Minister AH Mahmood Ali is unveiling the Tk 7,97,000 crore proposed budget in the parliament for FY 2024-25.
He started reading out the annual financial statement at Jatiya Sangsad at 3pm on Thursday (June 6).
Compared to the 2023-24 financial year, the size of this budget is increasing by about 11 per cent.
Earlier today, the Cabinet, at a special meeting, approved the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2024-25. The meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
