The Partner Field School Congress 2025 was held in Assasuni, Satkhira, highlighting the success stories of local farmers. Organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and supported by the World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) on Monday at the auditorium of the Divisional Technical Training Center for Orphans and Persons with Disabilities.

The congress was presided over by Krishna Roy, UNO  of Assasuni. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Khulna region, attended as the chief guest.Special guests included Md. Saiful Islam, Deputy Director of the DAE, Khamarbari, Satkhira, and Mosaddeque Hossain, Senior Monitoring Officer of the Partner Program, Khulna region.The welcome address was delivered by Shubhrangshu Shekhar Dash, Upazila Agriculture Officer, while Ruma Akhter, Agriculture Extension Officer, moderated the event.Other notable speakers included former Assasuni Upazila BNP convener S. M. Hedayetul Islam, former member secretary Jakir Hossain Babu, Nayeb-e-Ameer of the Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Nurul Afsar Mortoza, and Mawlana Abu Bakkar Siddique, Chairman of Shovonali Union Parishad.

During the congress, visuals and presentations were shown on the training initiatives, agricultural tools, and methods used under the project. Farmers Moslem Uddin and Swapna Rani Sarkar shared their firsthand experiences, underscoring the positive impact of the field school on their agricultural practices.

They stated that the adoption of modern agricultural techniques and training has significantly increased their yield and improved crop quality. The field school experience, they said, has opened new horizons in their farming journey.The congress emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in agricultural development and active farmer participation at the grassroots level.
