Farmers' rally, human chain demanding cancellation of lease of waterbodies

A human chain and rally were held to demand purchase of paddy at a reasonable price of Tk 1500, removal of measurement manipulation in paddy purchase, cancellation of leases of all canals, bills, reservoirs of the upazila and release of encroachment.
The rally and human chain were held at 10 am on Monday at the initiative of Bangladesh Farmers Association Nilganj Union Branch.
Comrade Nasir Talukder, teacher Atazul Islam, lecturer Rafiqul Islam, journalist Nasir Uddin Biplab, Naynaviram Gain and others spoke under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Farmers Association Nilganj branch convener G.M. Mahbubur Rahman.
