Ex-minister Obaidul Muktadir arrested

Former housing and public works minister RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury was arrested in Dhaka on Thursday night.
A team of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police apprehended him in the Mirpur area, said DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallick early Friday.
“The ex-minister was accused of murder charges. He will be produced before a court today and we will seek a remand to interrogate him,” the police official added.
