
Engine of Mahua commuter train breaks down in Gafargaon, passengers suffer

The engine of the Mohanganj-bound Mahua commuter train departing from Dhaka Kamalapur broke down. Passengers traveling on the train have suffered a lot in this incident.
The incident took place at 12:35 pm on Saturday in the Altaf Golandaj College area near Gafargaon station in Mymensingh.
It is learned that the Mohanganj-bound Mahua commuter train departing from Kamalapur on the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway route broke down at 12:35 pm in the Altaf Golandaj College area near the railway station after stopping at Gafargaon railway station. After about 1 hour, the train was brought to Gafargaon railway station and stopped. The train driver and the concerned people could not start the train despite trying for two and a half hours.
Assistant Station Master of Gafargaon Railway Station Mustafa Kamal said that although the engine of the Mahua commuter train broke down, there was no major disruption to train movement on this line as the train was brought to Gafargaon Railway Station.
