All preparations have been completed on the occasion of the Sixth Upazila Parishad elections on May 21 in Goalando of Rajbari.

On the occasion of the election, on Monday at 10 a.m., the presiding officers left for the polling station with the election equipment in 41 centers from the election office premises in Goalando upazila. And along with that the members of the law and order force are going to each center with their responsibility.

Meanwhile, Upazila Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Executive Officer Joti Bikas Chandra, Goalano Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Pranbandhu Chandra Biswas, Upazila Election Officer Md. Jasim Uddin was present.

According to upazila election office sources, two persons will compete for the post of chairman, 3 persons for the post of vice chairman and 3 persons for the post of female vice chairman in Goalando upazila.

Upazila Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Executive Officer Joti Bikas Chandra said that we are all working together to make the election free, fair and beautiful.

The materials allocated by the Election Commission have been explained to the policemen and presiding officers in charge of 41 centers in Goalando upazila. Law and order forces will act as per the election situation. BGB, Police, Ansar, Executive Magistrate and sufficient number of members of the law and order forces will be responsible for the overall security of the election.

It is to be noted that 229 booths have been set up in Goalano Upazila in total 41 centers in the sixth upazila parishad election of the second phase. 41 presiding officers, 230 assistant presiding officers and 458 polling officers will perform duties in the election.

Goalando Upazila has a total of 1 lakh 1 thousand 143 voters. Among them, the number of male voters is 51 thousand 712 and the number of female voters is 49 thousand 431.
