EC gets new secretary

The Election Commission Secretariat has got a new secretary with the appointment of Akhter Hossain.
A notification was issued by the Public Administration Ministry on his contractual recruitment on Thursday.
Akhter Ahmed will act as a senior secretary for two years from his joining date.
Earlier on Tuesday last, the government removed Shafiul Azim from the post of EC Secretary and made him OSD (Officer on special duty).
