DUCSU, Hall Union election : Stakeholders’ recommendations reviewed by returning officers

A meeting of the returning officers formed for the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and Hall Union Election 2025 were held on Thursday at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building of the university.
The meeting was presided over by Chief Returning Officer and Prof of the Department of Botany Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin. Also present at the time were Returning Officer Prof Dr. A S M Mahiuddin (Department of Soil, Water and Environment), Prof Dr. Golam Rabbani (Institute of Social Welfare and Research), Prof Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Haque (Department of Information Science and Library Management), Prof Dr. Kazi Maruful Islam (Department of Development Studies), Prof Dr. Nasrin Sultana (Institute of Health Economics), Prof Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam (Shahidul Zahid) (Department of Banking and Insurance), Prof Dr. S M Shamim Reza (Department of Mass Communication and Journalism), Prof Dr. Tariq Manzur (Department of Bangla) and Associate Prof Sharmin Kabir (Institute of Education and Research).
In the meeting, the returning officers reviewed various opinions and recommendations received from stakeholders with the aim of conducting the DUCSU election process properly. Based on these reviews, it was decided to present a proposal to the university administration.
