DU Microbiology Department freshers' reception held

The freshers' reception ceremony for the first-year undergraduate students of the Department of Microbiology, Dhaka University was held on Wednesday at the Anwarul Azim Chowdhury Lecture Gallery of the department.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Edn) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the event.
Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Prof Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, presided over by the Department Chairperson Prof Dr. Shakila Nargis Khan, spoke as the special guest at the event. Prof Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman Khan delivered the welcome speech. Prof Dr. Sanyukta Ahsan, the department's professor, expressed his vote of thanks. The program was hosted by students of the department, Md. Arafat Islam and Fazilatunnesa Anamika.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed said that the country is currently going through a transitional period. In this situation, everyone should maintain mutual unity and cordial relations. All kinds of unrest and emotions should be avoided and moral and human values should be awakened.
Certificates and crests were awarded to students of different years for their good results in examinations and achievements in co-curricular activities at the ceremony.
