DU Inter-Hall Girls Cricket Competition begins

Dhaka University '9th Inter-Hall (Girls) Cricket Competition' has begun on Monday at the Central Playground. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.
In the opening match, Rokeya Hall defeated Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall by 52 runs. Rokeya Hall won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 128 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 12 overs. Halimatus Sadia scored 93 runs in 48 balls for the team. In reply, Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall managed to score 76 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 12 overs. Halimatus Sadia of Rokeya Hall was adjudged the Player of the Match.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by SM Zakaria, Acting Director of the Physical Education Center, and was attended by Associate Professor Muhammad Mahbub Kaiser, President of the University Cricket Committee, as well as the principals of various halls, residential teachers and students.
