DU hands over cheque to employee's family

Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Junior Pump Assistant at the Office of the Chief Engineer of the University of Dhaka, suddenly passed away while he was on duty
To assist his family, the University Treasurer, Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, handed over a cheque of Tk. 2 lakh to the deceased’s wife on Monday.
Chief Engineer and leaders of the Technical Workers' Association were present. It is to be noted that Md. Abul Kalam Azad passed away from a heart attack at the workplace on May 17, 2025. The university administration expresses deep sorrow over his death and conveys heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
