Drug dealer held with 29 kg of ganja in Tongi

A drug dealer named Motaleb (33) with 29 kg of ganja was arrested by Tongi West police station from Muktarbari area of Tongi, Gazipur. He was arrested from the local Moktar Bari Road area on Saturday night and sent to the learned court after filing the case on Sunday afternoon.
The arrested Motaleb is the son of deceased Ah Gafur of Kadla Paschimpara village of Kachua police station in Chandpur district. There are two fugitives involved in the incident, Kalam alias Arif and Sohail. According to the police, Motaleb was arrested with 29 kg of ganja by searching a white colored private car in front of the house of one Shamsul Haque Khandkar in Auchpara Moktar Bari Road area under Tongi West Police Station on Saturday night.
It is learnt in the initial Zingasabad that the arrested Motaleb Arif and Sohail were supplying prohibited drugs (Ganja) in Tongi area with the connivance of two persons. The officer in charge of Tongi West Police Station Sakhawat Hossain said that the case against the arrested accused has been sent to the court after investigation. The operation to arrest the absconding accused is ongoing.
