Drug dealer arrested with 16- kg of ganja

Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested one drug dealer with 16 -kg of ganja from Chandpur launch ghat on Saturday noon.
Coast Guard Headquarters media officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi confirmed this matter.
Based on secret information, a special operation was conducted in Chandpur Launchghat area of Chandpur district by Bangladesh Coast Guard Station Chandpur at 1320 hours on Saturday.
During the operation, when the movement of a person in the launch named Shahali Plus from Chandpur to Sureshwar was suspicious, two bags with him were searched and Nuruzzaman Sheikh (35) was arrested with 16 kg of ganja.
The arrested Nuruzzaman Sheikh (35) is the son of Noor Mohammad Sheikh of Bunya Katukuli village under Naria police station of Shariatpur district.
The seized ganja and the arrested person were handed over to Chandpur Model Police Station for further legal action.
