Driver killed by truck in Singair

The truck driver was killed after losing control of the truck loaded with sand in Manikganj's Singair.
At around 11:30 pm on Wednesday, it lost control in front of Qaddus Mia's house in the new Erta village of Talebpur Union of the upazila and fell into the roadside ditch. The truck driver Mosaddek (23) was killed on the spot. The deceased driver is the son of Obaidur Rahman of Pirganj.
Locals said, when the sand-laden truck lost control while going, the driver jumped out of the vehicle to save his life and was crushed under the vehicle. Later, everyone around tried to move the vehicle. But could not rescue the driver who was buried under the car.
The driver was pinned under the car and died on the spot after shivering for about 30 minutes. Later, with the help of fire service, the car was removed and the body of the driver was recovered.
Singair Police Station OC Ziarul Islam confirmed the truth of the accident and the death of the driver and told The Country Today that the body will be handed over to the relatives after the legal process as there is no complaint filed by the family of the victim in the accident.
