Dr Shafiqul Islsm MP distributes CI sheets, cash among fire victims in Bauphal

Under the initiative of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, government assistance—comprising two bundles of corrugated iron sheets and Tk 3,000 in cash per family—has been distributed among 36 fire-affected families in Baufal, Patuakhali.
The distribution program took place on Wednesday at around 11:00 AM on the Upazila Parishad premises. Presided over by UNO Saleh Ahmed, local MP for Bauphal Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, attended as the chief guest and handed over the relief materials to the affected families.
Addressing the audience, Chief Guest Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud stated, "The government stands by disaster-affected citizens at all times. Government aid will continue to ensure these affected families return to normal life as quickly as possible."
Among others present at the event were Upazila PIO Rafiqul Islam, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Apel Mahmud Firoz, Upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Rafiqul Islam, local administrative officials, public representatives, and community leaders.
Expressing their gratitude, the beneficiary families thanked the government for the timely assistance.
Later at noon (12:00 PM), MP Masud attended another ceremony at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium as chief guest, under the chairmanship of UNO Saleh Ahmed, where he distributed special grant checks worth Tk 10,000 each from the Ministry of Social Welfare among 50 underprivileged individuals.
