
Doctors protest indecent behavior of Anti-discrimination Student Movement activists at C'nawabganj hospital

Doctors have protested against indecent and aggressive behavior by entering the room of the superintendent of the 250-bed district
hospital under the banner of the Anti-discrimination Student movement in Chapainawabganj. Doctors from the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) and the National Doctors Forum (NDF) expressed their anger over the incident at a joint press conference at the hospital on Monday afternoon.Hospital superintendent Masud Parvez, DAB Chapainawabganj branch President Moyez Uddin, NDF district branch president Mohiuddin, and hospital doctor Ismail Hossain spoke at the press conference.They said that on Wednesday, April 30, several people entered the hospital superintendent's room under the banner of the anti-discrimination student movement and behaved indecent and aggressively. During this time, they got into an argument with Dr. Md.Ismail Hossain, a consultant working at the hospital. He was even threatened.Hospital superintendent Dr. Masud Parvez said that last September, some anti-discrimination student protesters pressured the hospital's outsourcing employees to be fired and new appointments to be made.They interfered in the tender notice for medicines and hospital food and lobbied for the preferred contractor.At the press conference, the doctors strongly condemned the incident and demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits.
