DNCC to feed vitamin ‘A’ capsule to 5.84 lakh children

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will feed Vitamin ‘A’ capsules to around 5.84 lakh children on Tuesday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
DNCC Deputy Chief Health Officer Lt Col Md Golam Mostafa Sarwar made the announcement at an orientation on Vitamin A plus campaign at DNCC Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan-2 on Monday.
He said the DNCC will feed blue colour Vitamin ‘A’ capsule to 1,03,352 children aged between 6 and 11 months while red colour capsule to 4,81,483 kids aged between 12 and 59 months.
DNCC Chief Health Officer Brig Gen A.K.M Shafiqur Rahman said 3,808 vaccinators and volunteers will carry out the campaign in 1,904 permanent and makeshift centres.
Speaking as the chief guest in the programme, DNCC Chief Executive Officer Selim Reza urged the guardians of children to come to DNCC centres for taking the vitamin for ensuring the well-being of the children.
