DMP bans gatherings near Shahbagh intersection, Secretariat

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday issued a notification banning all forms of gatherings and rallies around some significant points in the capital including the Shahbagh intersection, Secretariat and CA’s residence.
Processions, marches, rallies and other forms of gatherings have been banned for ensuring public order around Bangladesh Secretariat, InterContinental Dhaka hotel, Shahbagh intersection, Kakrail intersection, Minto Road and CA’s Jamuna residence.
The ban will remain effective until further notice, said the notification signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Sazzat Ali.
